Main Rules

Rounds and time
Rule 1
A match usually consists of 3 to 12 rounds, with each round lasting 3 minutes, and a 1-minute break between rounds.
Clothing and equipment
Rules 2
Boxers must wear gloves (usually weighing 8-10 ounces) and a mouthguard for safety, along with a headgear in some matches, and sportswear such as shorts.
Allowed areas to strike the opponent
Rules 3
Strikes are only allowed on the upper body, including the head, chest, and arms. It is prohibited to strike the opponent in areas such as below the belt, the back of the head, or under the belt.

The use of any weapons or prohibited substances is forbidden. Kicking or using any unsportsmanlike methods to win is also prohibited.

Judging and scoring
Rules 6
The match is judged based on a points system, where boxers are awarded points for their performance in each round. If the winner is not determined by points, the match may be decided by a "knockout" (KO) or "technical knockout" (TKO).
Knockout (KO)

If a boxer falls to the ground and is unable to continue the match for more than 10 seconds, it is considered a knockout.
